Free iPhone users can check their
financial balances and track spending on the go with a free application from
personal finance site Wesabe (www.wesabe.com). The company today
announced the launch of i.wesabe.com, a free, optimized version of Wesabe
Mobile for free iPhone users. Unveiled last month, Wesabe Mobile lets members use
their cell phone to monitor all of their account balances and transactions for
thousands of banks and credit cards worldwide. Wesabe Mobile also provides
members with an easy way to record and track where they are spending cash.
"A number of our members are free iPhone users, so we wanted to optimize and
enhance Wesabe Mobile to give them the best interface possible. We do not and
will not charge for this service -- we believe people should have open, free
access to their banking data," said Jason Knight, CEO of Wesabe.
Wesabe gives members a better understanding of how they spend via a free,
web-based financial management tool, and helps them get more value for their
money by aggregating and analyzing financial transaction data from members'
bank and credit card accounts.
To access Wesabe free iPhone Mobile, members simply point the web browser on
their free iPhone to i.wesabe.com, where they can:

anytime they want
-- See any transactions that have posted to their accounts. Just as the
free iPhone's email application lets users view as many emails as they'd
like, i.wesabe.com allows members to see as many transactions as they
want.
-- Enter cash purchases they've made while shopping


The Wesabe service utilizes SSL connections and authentication -- keeping
member data safe and private yet readily available. Members' account balances
and transactions are encrypted -- a level of protection that SMS-based
services do not offer.
